Remember the story of the three pigs and the big bad wolf?

As the story goes, one pig built his house out of straw.  The second pig built his house out of sticks. And the third built his house out of bricks.

The pigs who built their houses out of straw and sticks were not prepared for what was going to happen.  The wolf (a disaster) immediately destroyed the straw and stick homes and the two unprepared pigs had to move in with their wiser brother.  Despite numerous attempts, the wolf was not able to destroy the brick home and the three pigs were able to celebrate.

In real life, most of us build our houses out of straw and sticks.  Then when the wolf (a disaster) comes we ask the government or someone else to rescue us, and then rebuild with straw and sticks again.  The fairy tale continues, the lessons are unlearned, and eventually the wolf comes again.
